Joseph Tong and Waka Hasegawa (Piano 4 Hands) – Rite of Spring on 2 pianos at Wigmore Hall

Two award winning pianists Joseph Tong and Waka Hasegawa (Piano 4 Hands) are innovators in the world of synchronising twenty fingers on two pianos. Following hugely successful concerts at the Wigmore Hall, the duo return with a most intriguing programme celebrating the best piano duo music of the past 100 years and a new commission by the sought after composer Dai Fujikura.

They will perform Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring on two pianos to mark the centenary of the ballet’s premiere together with “Three Miniatures” by Dai Fujikura, co-commissioned with the Cheltenham Music Festival. Virtuoso showpieces by Grainger and Poulenc and a masterly early Britten work complete a wide-ranging and colourful programme.
