South Korean cellist Yong-Jun Lee is acknowledged as a young cellist of distinction, equally at home in solo, chamber and orchestra. As a soloist Yong-Jun has performed most notably at Cadogan Hall and Dora Stoutzker Hall, Wigmore Hall and St Martin-in-the-Fields. He is equally a committed chamber musician, and has appeared at Wigmore Hall, St James’ Piccadilly, St Martin-in-the-Fields and Colston Hall. Yong-Jun has collaborated with such artists as Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, Edward Gardner, Jinjoo Cho and Dominic Grier and has performed in masterclasses with Mario Brunello, Colin Carr, Sung-Won Yang, Louise Hopkins, Guy Johnston and Stephan Forck. Yong-Jun Lee began his musical studies at age 5 at the Seoul Arts Centre and later studied at the Purcell School of Music with Pal Banda. Yong-Jun is a recipient of The Marjorie Gould Award to undertake his undergraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music where since 2016 he studies under Mats Lidström.

Alim Beisembayev
Born in 1998, in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Alim started playing the piano at the age of 5. In 2008, he moved to study at the Central Music School of Moscow. In 2010, he continued his studies at the Purcell School for Young Musicians in Bushey, where he was taught by Tessa Nicholson. Alim had numerous successes in international competitions such as the Junior Van Cliburn International Competition as well as the Franz Liszt Junior Competition and the Manchester International Concerto Competition. Most recently, Alim won the Jaques Samuel Intercollegiate Prize as a result of which he will make his debut at the Wigmore Hall in June 2018. Since September 2016, Alim has studied with Tessa Nicholson at the Royal Academy of Music in London with a full scholarship.
