Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the serious assault of a man in New Malden.
At approximately 03:50hrs on Sunday 17 April, officers were called by the London Ambulance Service to reports of an injured man on Sheephouse Way.

Officers attended to find a 33-year-old man laying unconscious on a pavement, suffering from head injuries outside The Imperial Karaoke Club, next to Sheephouse Way roundabout. Prior to the assault he had been inside the venue.

The injured man, who is South Korean, was taken to a southwest London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Detective Inspector Brian Fitzpartick, from Kingston CID, said:
“The circumstances leading up to the assault are unclear, and we urge anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious to come forward and speak to us.

We are particularly keen to hear from those who live on the Sheephouse Way roundabout, which overlooks the crime scene, and members of the Korean community who may have been enjoying a night out at the Karaoke bar.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the incident room at Kingston CID on 020 8721 5854; or if you would like to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
